Who We Are

Our website address is: https://roarcultable.com

Comments

When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the form, along with the IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email (a hash) may be sent to Gravatar to check if you’re using it. The Gravatar privacy policy provides more information. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture appears publicly with your comment.

Media

If you upload images, avoid embedding location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from uploaded images.

Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to save your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience. These cookies last for one year. A temporary cookie is set on the login page to check browser acceptance—it’s discarded when you close your browser. Login cookies last two days (or two weeks with “Remember Me”), and screen option cookies last one year. Editing or publishing an article adds another cookie that expires in one day.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, or articles). Embedded content behaves exactly as if you visited that website directly and may collect data or track interactions.

Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email for verification and security.

How Long We Retain Your Data

Comments and metadata are retained indefinitely for follow-up moderation. Registered users’ information is stored in their profiles, which they can view, edit, or delete anytime (except usernames). Site administrators can also view and edit user information.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account or left comments, you can request an exported file of your personal data or request deletion. This excludes data retained for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
